How I Can Support You

Individual Counselling for Women

You don't have to carry the weight of everything on your own. Many of the women I work with feel emotionally exhausted after spending years putting everyone else's needs before their own. Some are healing from emotionally abusive or controlling relationships. Others are navigating separation, divorce, high-conflict co-parenting, or life transitions that have left them feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and unsure of who they are anymore. Perhaps you've been told you're "too sensitive," questioned your own reality, or lost confidence in yourself after years of criticism, manipulation, or emotional neglect. Maybe you're simply trying to find your way through grief, burnout, anxiety, or the constant pressure of holding everything together. Wherever you are in your journey, therapy offers a safe, compassionate space where you can slow down, be heard without judgment, and begin healing at your own pace. Together, we'll work to: • Rebuild your confidence and self-worth. • Heal from emotionally abusive or unhealthy relationships. • Establish healthy boundaries without guilt. • Reduce anxiety, overwhelm, and chronic stress. • Navigate separation, divorce, and high-conflict co-parenting. • Process grief, trauma, and significant life changes. • Strengthen emotional resilience and coping skills. • Rediscover your identity and move forward with confidence. My approach is warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I draw from Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Solution-Focused Therapy to create a counselling experience tailored to your unique needs and goals. Healing isn't about becoming someone different—it's about reconnecting with the strong, capable woman you've always been beneath the pain. Whether you're taking your first step toward therapy or returning after a difficult season, I'm here to support you with compassion, respect, and hope. You deserve to feel safe, valued, and empowered again—and you don't have to walk that path alone.

Life can change in an instant. Whether you're trying to heal from an emotionally abusive relationship, navigating a difficult separation, or carrying the overwhelming responsibilities of parenting a child with autism or special needs, you don't have to face it alone. At Rising Phoenix Counselling, I provide compassionate, trauma-informed virtual counselling for women who are ready to rebuild their confidence, rediscover their identity, and move forward with strength and hope. Together, we'll create a safe space where you feel heard, understood, and supported without judgment.

Parent & Caregiver Support for Autism & Special Needs

Parenting is one of life's greatest joys—but it can also be one of its greatest challenges. When you're constantly caring for everyone else, it's easy to lose sight of your own emotional well-being.Whether you're raising a young child, navigating the teenage years, parenting through separation, or supporting a child with autism or other special needs, you deserve a space where your experiences, emotions, and struggles matter too.Parents often carry an invisible mental load—balancing appointments, school meetings, behavioural challenges, financial pressures, work responsibilities, and the constant worry of doing enough. Over time, that weight can lead to stress, anxiety, burnout, guilt, and emotional exhaustion. At Rising Phoenix Counselling, I offer compassionate, non-judgmental support to help you navigate the realities of parenting while caring for yourself along the way.Together, we can work on:Managing parenting stress, overwhelm, and burnoutSupporting parents and caregivers of autistic and special needs childrenNavigating behavioural and emotional challengesParenting through separation, divorce, and high-conflict co-parentingStrengthening communication and family relationshipsCoping with caregiver fatigue and compassion exhaustionBuilding healthy boundaries and realistic expectationsManaging anxiety, guilt, and feelings of isolationDeveloping practical coping strategies for everyday parenting challengesMy goal isn't to teach you how to be a "perfect" parent—because perfect doesn't exist. Guided by Compassion, Focused on Your Well-being

Hi, I'm Amber. I'm a Registered Professional Counsellor-Candidate (RPC-C) working under supervision. I believe healing begins when you finally feel understood. As a Registered Professional Counsellor – Candidate (RPC-C), I combine professional training with genuine compassion and real-life understanding of many of the challenges my clients face. My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, helping you move beyond simply surviving toward building a life that feels peaceful, meaningful, and authentic. Many of the women I work with have spent years putting everyone else first. They feel emotionally exhausted, constantly questioning themselves, struggling with anxiety, guilt, or the lasting effects of unhealthy relationships. Others are navigating the complex realities of co-parenting after separation, rebuilding their confidence after emotional abuse, or adjusting to major life transitions that have left them feeling overwhelmed. I also have a special passion for supporting parents and caregivers of autistic and special needs children. Parenting a child with unique needs can be incredibly rewarding, but it can also feel isolating, emotionally draining, and overwhelming. You deserve support too. Therapy offers a place where your needs matter just as much as everyone else's. My counselling approach integrates Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and trauma-informed care. Every session is tailored to your unique experiences, strengths, and goals because there is no one-size-fits-all path to healing. Whether you're learning to establish healthy boundaries, processing trauma, rebuilding after heartbreak, managing anxiety, or simply trying to find yourself again, we'll work together at a pace that feels safe and supportive.

What to Expect in Therapy

Therapy should never feel intimidating. My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable enough to be yourself—without fear of judgment or pressure to have everything figured out. Clients often describe me as compassionate, approachable, and easy to talk to. I believe meaningful change happens through trust, genuine connection, and practical strategies you can begin using in everyday life. Together, we'll celebrate your strengths, work through the challenges keeping you stuck, and help you develop the confidence and resilience to move toward the life you deserve. Healing isn't about becoming someone new—it's about rediscovering the person you've always been beneath the pain.
